In addition to being an avid user of the system, StreamWerx is an authorized reseller for Aerial Exposures gyro stabilized mounts. Designed for helicopters, cars, boats, or other moving platforms, these portable mounts are stabilized by Kenyon Laboratories mechanical gyros. Together with the patented gimbal, the mount functions like a floating tripod, isolating the camera from helicopter vibration.
There are two basic systems: The ATM (Advanced Traveling Mount) for EPIC and DSLR size cameras and the LSG for RED and broadcast cameras. The newest ATM X8 design has a telescopic gyro base for easy adjustments of different camera weights.
The larger, LSG-X unit incorporates a rotating base to make smooth panning possible over a larger radius than the smaller ATM mount. Both these AE mounts require delicate hands-on control by the camera operator. With a little practice, the Aerial Exposures stabilization mounts make aerial video an affordable option.
